Resolving Error message “Server Error:…” while connecting it to ASP page

Access database corruption, while connecting it to Active Server Page (ASP), primarily occurs due to faulty network hardware, virus attacks and more. In most of these scenarios, an error message pops up that makes the data stored in the Access database inaccessible. The most easy and ideal way to overcome such type of corruption scenarios is by restoring all the data from an updated and valid backup. However, if no backup is available or backup falls short of restoring the desired information, access recovery software comes to rescue.

Consider a practical scenario where you encounter the below error message while attempting to connect an ASP page with MS Access database:

‘Server error: Unable to connect to a database from the web server using the connection string 'DSN=Salescart1;DRIVER={Driver do Microsoft Access (*.mdb)}'.”

The database driver software shows also the below error message with this respect:

“[Microsoft][ODBC Microsoft Access Driver] Cannot open database '(unknown)'. It may not be a database that your application recognizes, or the file may be corrupt.”

Cause:

The root cause for occurrence of the above error message is corruption of Access database due any of the below reasons:

There are more than four connections to connect to the Access database.
The Access database is online and you are trying to open it.
Faulty or damaged network hardware
Resolution:

For complete resolution of the above error message and comprehensive repairing of MS Access database, you will need to use an inbuilt repair utility known as “Compact and Repair.” The inbuilt repair utility repairs your database in most cases, except when the database is severely damaged or is too large in size. In such situations, the best option left is to go for advanced Access Recovery application. These access repair applications use advanced scanning mechanisms to scan and repair the corrupted Access database files. Embedded with advanced techniques and built with graphical user interface, these tools are easy to understand without any prior technical skills. These applications also provide complete recovery of Access database files (.accdb and .mdb).

Access Recovery is powerful and reliable Access Database Repair software that can restore and Repair Access database components such as tables, queries, forms, reports, macros and modules. The read only software is compatible with Microsoft Access 2007, 2003, XP (2002) and 2000. The software is designed for Windows Vista, XP, 2003, 2000 and NT.
